Most adult Shih Tzus wear S, and puppies XS. A Shih Tzu with a full coat may need M. Measure the chest over the fur rather than going by breed.
Yes, for short periods and when your dog is comfortable. Take it off if they scratch at it, try to wriggle out, or pant more than usual. In Indian summers keep dress-up short and indoors, and take extra care with flat-faced breeds like Pugs and Shih Tzus, which overheat easily. Never leave a dressed dog alone.
A frilly dress for photos, or our reversible birthday bandana if your dog doesn’t like clothes. A bandana goes over the collar and takes seconds to put on.
Hand-wash in cold water with a mild detergent, turn it inside out, and dry in the shade. Don’t wring or tumble-dry frills and embellishments.
