Our 7-month-old Shih Tzu, Kaju, has had a very challenging journey. At just 4 months old, he underwent FHO surgery. Just when he was beginning to recover, he suffered a supracondylar femur fracture on the same leg and was also diagnosed with critically low calcium levels. As pet parents, we were heartbroken and extremely hesitant about putting him through another surgery so soon.
