The best vet in Thane, Dr. Deshpande, has saved my dog more than twice and has always cared for him like his own child. Truly a special and kind-hearted person. With over 60 years of experience, he has helped and healed countless animals over the years. A true angel in human form. Thank you so much, doctor, for always being there for us. 🙏🐾
I wouldn't want to give one star to this Dr. Since, we were new to Vets and everything i believed in the reviews on Google and took my baby Cat to the Dr. He suggested that my cat had worms and gave medicines of his own. We gave him the medicines and suggested by the Dr. And my cats condition worsened he wasn't eating and had gotten a lot more weak. We took him again to this Dr. And he treated my cat like he didn't matter, my cat couldn't walk and he forcibly made him hang on to some grass thing on the wall as part of some test he was doing, my cat tried to run he picked him up like a garbage bag and prepared some injection that we asked him what was it for and he said it's something that'll help the cat to walk and encourage to eat food the injection looked like it was made for cows and buffaloes and as he was giving my cat the injection he screamed so loudly i had to cover my ears go out and cry because i couldn't see his suffrage, we asked him what had happened he didn't say anything clearly and i asked him how long is it going to take till my cat feels better and he said I can't state that but till then you'll have to bring him to me everyday. I wasn't satisfied by his answers but still i took my cat went home and from that time onwards my cat couldn't walk at all he was like he had lost his lower two limps and was dragging his entire body with his upper limps and that very night he started having seizures my baby wouldn't eat, he couldn't sleep, he was just so miserable and i felt helpless. The next day we took him to another Dr. Got him checked and turns out my baby had water filled in his lungs, had pneumonia and had gotten FIP, which is a life threatening disease for cats, in this case the chances of survival depends on when and how early you start with the medications and also the willpower of a cat. The doctors gave him IV he looked a little better but the doctors had already told us that he wouldn't survive. It crushed me and i couldn't take it all in. If i had gotten my cat to the right Dr. Before wasting my time and money on this filthy and pathetic clinic he probably would or wouldn't have survived but atleast he wouldn't have to go through that pain he was just 6 months old he was happy and loving cat, when he had seizures he'd bang his head here and there he would go unconscious after the seizure. My baby didn't deserve any of that pain and hurt which he had to go through because of this stupid, "unqualified to be a Vet"clinic. It was way too late for my baby which haunts me till date it's been six months I'm writing the review now because i was going through the reviews of other vets and realised how important it is to give a review of your experience, i lost my buddy but i don't want anybody else to experience what I did. I love my buddy and i love other buddies out there too. Never take your buddies to this Dr.
Dr. Shirish Deshpande is an excellent and caring pet doctor! He treated my pet with so much love and attention. The clinic is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is also very supportive. My pet is feeling much better now. I highly recommend Dr. Deshpande for anyone looking for the best care for their furry friends! 🐾💖🐶
I had a very upsetting experience with Dr. Deshpande for June. He gave two injections to her. Despite repeatedly asking what they were for, he only said, "It's for the skin" without providing clear details. Unfortunately, he struggled to give the injections properly. While giving the second shot, he forcefully pushed the needle into June’s body, seemed to panic, and the needle broke. It was a terrifying moment — we later found the broken needle had fallen off her, but by then, June was in severe pain, refusing to eat or take any treat. She even vomited twice after receiving those injections. Additionally, Dr. Deshpande recommended an oil he claims to have invented — named Dr. D (Dr. Deshpande). I chose not to use it on June as the ingredients were not fully listed on the bottle. His treatment approach also felt quite outdated to me. I’m sharing this to help others be cautious — please think carefully before choosing a vet for your pet. Thankfully, I later used Scooby Dub Dub powder and started Apoquel for June on the advice of Dr. Arundhati Nair, and she’s now completely fine. Of course, this was my personal experience — it may not be the same for everyone. The doctor might have helped others, but for June and me, his treatment didn’t work, and I wouldn’t recommend him. The medicines he provides seem random, taken from unlabelled boxes, with no clarity about ingredients or expiry dates. This was the spot where June was injected. This part was swollen for couple of days & then we took her again to Dr Arundhati trimmed this portion to get an exact view & she has now recovered. We also attended Dr. Diu somani (The skin vet) online seminar in which she told multiple things. I changed June’s complete meal plan to identify the food allergy. She is now completely on sea food diet. Started apoquel as suggested by Dr Arundhati to stop itching I’m sharing this solely to recount my personal experience with the doctor — you are, of course, free to choose where to take your pup. I’ve heard many positive reviews from people whose dogs have recovered under Dr. Deshpande’s care. However, it’s my personal choice not to prefer him, as I am not comfortable giving June medicines or oils without knowing their detailed composition. I believe it’s important to be fully aware of what medication, oil, or ingredients are being used on her. This message is not intended to defame the doctor or disrespect those who recommend him — it’s simply to share what we went through.
He is the best in Thane. Very warm, loving, passionate, caring and immensely knowledgable about everything that a pet would need. I have been visiting with my pet since last 4.5 years. Definitely recommended!!
