Very disappointing experience with Help In Suffering. A dog has been suffering badly since yesterday and I called the helpline multiple times for emergency help, but there was no proper response. Instead of helping, my number was blocked. This is extremely irresponsible behavior from an animal welfare organization. Sick and injured animals need urgent care, not ignorance. Please improve your emergency response system and treat people and animals with humanity.

We found a puppy on the road that was disabled in one leg and we kept it at home for a few days. Someone advised us to take it to the dog center in Durgapura, assuring us that they would provide proper care there; trusting this advice, we took the puppy there. Just a few days later, we received a call informing us that it had died—even though its only issue was the leg injury; otherwise, it was very active, eating well, relieving itself normally, and fully alert. When we tried calling repeatedly, our calls went unanswered, and today we were informed in a very callous manner that the puppy had passed away. Those who are funding this NGO should definitely think twice before doing so.very bad experience

On 10/07/2026, at around 11:00 AM, I was out with my little daughter when I noticed a small puppy (only about 2–3 months old) lying by the roadside in a critical condition. A crowd of people had gathered around, but despite hearing its cries for help, no one had the courage to take it to a nearby hospital. I couldn't ignore the situation. I seated my daughter at a nearby café that I knew and then requested a Municipal Corporation contractor to send one of his sanitation workers with me. Thankfully, he agreed. Together, we somehow managed to take the injured puppy to Helping Suffering, Durgapura. After reaching there, I completed all the required formalities. However, I noticed that the staff were giving first priority to privately owned dogs and cats, even though their cases were not critical. Later, I was asked to take the puppy inside, which we did. Even after that, we were made to wait and were repeatedly sent from one room to another. Eventually, when I asked, "Sir, may I leave now?" I was told, "Wait until the treatment starts, and then you'll have to take the puppy to the enclosure over there." I explained that this was a street dog, not someone's pet, and that I had left my daughter in someone else's care. Despite this, the staff's attitude was extremely negative. They said they were short-staffed and couldn't do everything. However, I personally did not feel there was any shortage of staff; rather, it appeared that almost all of them were occupied with privately owned pets. For a moment, I even felt that perhaps the people standing and watching on the roadside were right to remain mere spectators to the puppy's cries. But I was satisfied with myself because I fulfilled my responsibility to the best of my ability. Therefore, I humbly request the trustees to regularly monitor the doctors, staff, and overall management so that such situations are handled more efficiently. I also request that feedback be collected from the general public, especially regarding the treatment of street dogs and cats Finally, I sincerely appeal to all the respected donors and benefactors to ensure that their money and donations are being used effectively and for the intended purpose. Thank you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I brought a street cat and even my own pet kittens to there. The NGO is really helping the animals. They treated my pets at very nominal cost as well as their staff was really helping and supporting towards us and loving and kind with the pets.
