We owe the life of our beloved cockatiel to the team at Liya's Animal and Bird Clinic.
Our bird suddenly developed severe vomiting, lethargy, and weight loss. We first consulted another well-known veterinary hospital, where we were informed that the X-ray suggested a physical obstruction and that anesthesia and further invasive procedures might be required. We were devastated and feared we might lose our bird.
Wanting a second opinion, we visited Liya's Bird and Animal Clinic. The doctor carefully reviewed the case, examined the X-rays, and explained that there was no evidence of a physical obstruction. Instead, the findings were more consistent with inflammation and infection. This immediately gave us hope.
Doctor Abhishek Gupta started a treatment plan with antibiotics, supportive medications, and nutritional care. We also agreed to hospitalize our bird for a few days so it could receive close monitoring, hand feeding, and timely medication.
The improvement was remarkable. Within 5–6 days, the vomiting stopped, the energy levels returned, and our cockatiel was back to being active, playful, and healthy.
What stood out most was the doctor's clinical judgment, patience, compassionate care, and willingness to look beyond the obvious and treat the bird based on careful observation rather than rushing into invasive procedures.
Today, our feathered family member is completely healthy again, and we cannot thank Liya's Bird and Animal Clinic enough. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking expert care for birds and exotic pets.

Anyone looking for an AVIAN VET in Bangalore please go to Dr Abhishek.
He attended to my 9 year old cockatiel's bumble foot issue on both feet back in November last year. What clearly stood out was the way he (and his assistants) extremely carefully handled a 100gm delicate anxious bird (16km car ride + injury + new surrounding + held by someone).
The medicines and dosages, and the way to administer them to the bird were important instructions and the Dr was patient in making me understand them. Over a period of 20 days, both feet of my cockatiel healed perfectly and with the Dr's recommendations, there has been no issue since.
I made the journey all the way from the old airport area for a total of 4 or 5 consultations/assessment/bandage change and it was absolutely worth our time. I was confident with the way they handled the bird (as needed).
They also have boarding facility for birds (have not used this service). The clinic is clean and well maintained too!

My bird was sick after laying eggs and she was so weak. I went this clinic and they checked the bird property took a cotton swab for doing nasopharanygeal mucus collection checked in the micro scope for finding any infection. Only thing I noticed they are not giving a proper bird medicine they are giving cat or dogs medicine and according to the birds weight they reduce the dose . The doctor explained very well and demonstrated how to give proper dose and proper time .my cockatiel is got active within 2 days and got cured. Thank you doctors for helping

We have been consulting Dr.Abhishek for our Indie boy Elvin since last three years. Being an Indie parent himself, Dr understands the temperament of our dog and gives him time and space to settle down whenever we visit the clinic. Initially Elvin used to be anxious to visit the clinic but now he is comfortable and not anxious/ reactive with other pets/ people around which is big relief for us.
Any concern arises, Dr is approachable and quick to address over a call or message and clarify the concern and calm us down before we can take Elvin for examination if required. Even though Dr Abhishek specialises in exotic species,he treats our Indie also with same passion and love which is remarkable ❤️

Dr Abhishek Gupta is simply amazing. I recently got into a situation where I realized something was not quite right with my pet cockatiel on the day Liya's has a weekly off. Knowing (thanks to Dr Gupta, again) how critical timely treatment is for birds, I tried out a couple of local vets. Their comfort level with birds and the advised treatment inspired no confidence in me and I took my pet to Dr Abhishek the next day. Thanks to his treatment and sound advise my pet is back
