Review for Pet Clinic Gorai – Dr. Premal Darji I am writing this with extreme pain after losing my beloved pet, Erika. I was referred to Pet Clinic Gorai and trusted Dr. Premal Darji completely. That trust has turned into lifelong regret. Erika had a tumor case, and instead of receiving clear surgical direction and decisive medical planning, her treatment kept getting prolonged with medications. During this period, her condition worsened, and she started experiencing severe bleeding episodes. We repeatedly requested clarity about surgical intervention and long-term treatment planning. However, we never received firm guidance or urgency that such a critical case required. At one stage, her platelet levels dropped significantly, and her bleeding became uncontrollable. Watching your pet lose blood helplessly while depending on professional guidance is something no pet parent should ever experience. Despite multiple visits and continuous follow-ups, her condition deteriorated rapidly. We were left confused, emotionally shattered, and without clear answers. If you are dealing with a serious or tumor-related condition, please: – Ask for detailed blood reports and explanations – Ask about platelet monitoring – Seek immediate second opinions – Do not delay critical decisions Blind trust in medical situations can cost you everything. In our case, it cost us our family member. The pain my family is going through cannot be described in words. Losing Erika has left a permanent void in our lives. I hope no other pet parent has to go through this trauma.

reply to Doctor Darji We did not lose trust without reason. Trust was broken because there was no consistent line of treatment. Every visit we were told something different. If the prognosis was “clearly explained”, then why were we repeatedly given new approaches and delays? You mentioned multiple opinions — but as pet parents, we depended on the primary treating doctor to guide us properly and urgently. Instead, there was confusion and no clear direction. Regarding surgery — yes, amputation was discussed, but the risks and urgency were not explained in a way that reflected the seriousness of cancer progression. We were never clearly told that delay could drastically reduce survival chances. When referred, we were already emotionally and mentally exhausted due to lack of clear guidance. If multiple vets were involved, that actually shows there was no single responsible direction. We kept running because we were not getting confident answers. Please understand — this is not a “blame game.” This is about a life we lost. Erika was not just a case file for us. She was family. We are not attacking professionals in general. We are questioning the inconsistency and delay in our specific case. And as for reviews — people write from pain. Instead of questioning reviews, maybe reflect why pet parents feel unheard. We hope no other pet parent goes through what we did.

We rescued our cat, Kiki, on January 29th 2025. A couple of weeks in, we suspected she might be pregnant and took her to Dr. Premal Darji. He strongly advised immediate spaying, assuring us it was completely safe and routine. Trusting his judgment, we went ahead with the surgery. Soon after, Kiki began vomiting excessively — far more than what he described as “normal.” She stopped eating, peeing, or pooping. We visited his clinic daily post-op, but Dr. Darji had no clear answers. At one point, he even said he hadn’t “seen a case like this before,” but never recommended a specialist or second opinion. Eventually, when we visited another vet, bloodwork revealed that Kiki’s creatinine was dangerously high (15) — a clear sign of acute kidney failure. We went back to Dr. Darji for an ultrasound, but again he insisted that “everything looked fine,” and failed to identify the actual issue. Even then, he didn’t show any urgency or transparency in managing the situation. Desperate for help, we rushed her to Top Dog Clinic in Andheri, where they quickly diagnosed that urine was leaking into her abdomen, most likely due to trauma caused during the original spay surgery. They couldn’t keep her overnight, so we stabilized her at Blue 7 Vets in Borivali, and the next day, Top Dog performed a critical, life-saving surgery. Kiki thankfully made it through, and while she still has one more surgery to go, she’s finally recovering. What’s most upsetting is that none of this had to happen. Dr. Darji never took accountability or gave us the information we needed to act sooner. His lack of proper communication and judgment not only endangered Kiki’s life but also left us emotionally drained and over ₹2 lakhs deep in treatment costs that could have been avoided. This isn’t to spread hate, but to create awareness. If you feel unsure or uncomfortable with your vet’s advice, please don’t hesitate to seek a second opinion. Your pet’s life and your peace of mind are worth it.

My dog, Luffy, had a severe nosebleed that was difficult to control. The doctors and staff were incredibly kind and gentle throughout the ordeal. They calmed him down, provided the right medication, and offered constant support. Even after we left the clinic, they followed up with calls to share information and check on his progress. I truly appreciate their care and dedication—my overall experience was excellent. Thank you to the entire team.
