I recently visited the Petsfirst HRBR branch and had a fantastic shopping experience. The moment I walked in, the staff welcomed me warmly and offered assistance without being intrusive. They have an impressive collection of products for both dogs and cats, ranging from premium food to toys, grooming supplies, and accessories. I really appreciate that they stock quality brands at budget-friendly prices. The store is spacious, neatly arranged, and makes shopping easy. It's great to find a pet store where customer service is just as good as the product selection. I'll definitely keep coming back.

I cannot thank Dr. Rakshit enough for what he has done for my pet, Jerry. As a pet parent, it’s incredibly stressful when your furry baby is going through a health issue—Jerry was having problems with her uterus, and the thought of surgery was honestly very scary for me. But from the moment I met Dr. Rakshit, I felt a sense of reassurance and trust. He is not only highly experienced and one of the senior-most doctors at Pet First (HRBR & Indiranagar), but also someone who genuinely cares. The way he explained the procedure, handled every detail with precision, and performed the surgery so smoothly—it truly went beyond my expectations. Jerry’s surgery was a complete success, and I will forever be grateful for that. A special mention to Dr. Hussain as well, who took over Jerry’s post-surgery care. Jerry is an extremely hyperactive and energetic puppy, but his patience, calm approach, and genuine affection towards her made all the difference. He ensured she was comfortable, monitored her recovery closely, and was always available to address my concerns. Seeing Jerry recover so well and return to her happy, playful self means everything to me. Both Dr. Rakshit and Dr. Hussain have not only treated my pet but also given me immense peace of mind during a very difficult time. If you’re looking for the best care for your pet in Bangalore, I can wholeheartedly say—you can trust Dr. Rakshit blindly. You’re not just getting a skilled doctor, but someone who treats your pet like their own. Forever grateful 🙏

We decline to accept the assertion that our concerns stem merely from emotion rather than the reality of how our pet’s case was handled. Blaming us for uncooperative behavior deflects from the clear breakdown in communication and care that occurred under your supervision. Your staff had already administered multiple medications as soon as we arrived. Despite this heavy treatment, when we asked for clarity on her status, you were unable to explain what was actually happening or provide a cohesive diagnosis. At no point was it communicated to us that her condition was an acute emergency requiring immediate intervention; instead, the situation was handled with a complete lack of urgency while staff appeared focused on wrapping up their shift to go home. It is the responsibility of a veterinary clinic to clearly communicate critical risks, provide transparent answers about medications already given, and treat deteriorating patients with urgent care. Passing the blame onto a grieving family to mask negligence and poor communication in your facility is entirely unacceptable.

I brought my 7-month-old rescue kitten, Neel, to Pet First Hospital HRBR Layout because he was vomiting. It took the clinic 2-3 hours just to begin diagnosing him. He was unvaccinated, and his WBC count was critically low at 0.67 — it continued to drop during treatment. Neel’s final diagnosis was Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV) along with a Mycoplasma haemofelis co-infection. The PCR test wasn't mentioned to us upfront, and the clinic later delayed the PCR results by a full day because they hadn't drawn an adequate sample the first time. If we had done the PCR test on day 1 we might have been able to help him better. On day 3, with his blood counts still not improving, I asked a doctor about a blood transfusion. I was told, verbatim, "you cannot do transfusion in cats." The very next day, a different doctor at the same clinic said we should try one. Despite this contradiction and the severity of his condition, no one moved with urgency. Once we pushed to start the transfusion, it took the clinic almost 25 hours of repeated tests to actually get the process moving. His platelet count fell from 36 to 5 with no real intervention from the doctors. I had to research this myself and specifically ask them to give him a Vitamin K injection to help with clotting — this should have been something they proactively offered. I told them repeatedly that cost was not a factor and that we would do anything to save him. Despite that, it felt like the clinic had written off his case from day one and never treated it with the urgency and attention it needed. Neel lost his life at this clinic on the 5th day from the day we first took him there. If you have an option, I would strongly encourage you to consider another hospitals. Pet first isn’t the right place to help your pet recover.

We can't thank Dr. Shankar and his team enough for the incredible care they provided to our community puppy after a serious dog bite left her struggling with hypothermia. When we rushed her in at midnight, she was in a critical state, but the night shift Doctor immediately assessed the situation and put together a thorough plan to stabilize Cookie. The team was incredibly attentive, keeping us updated every step of the way. Thanks to their skill, compassion, and swift action, the little pup made a full recovery. We are so grateful for the dedication and expertise Dr. Shankar and his team showed on follow up visits, and we would trust them with any of our pets’ needs in the future. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone seeking care for their furry babies!
