It's a good place to take your pets for consultation and vaccinations. They are decently clean and well equipped. I have been going here for 3 years now for my pets vaccinations. My experience has been fair. One suggestion is that for vaccination mostly the students or younger doctors are assigned. Do check and be vigilant as some of them might not be properly trained. You need to be careful of this one part rest all is very good.

Worst experience with the pet grooming section – Hebbal Veterinary Hospital We visited the hospital today (Sunday, 12th) based on recommendations from family friends. We came mainly for our dog’s leg pain issue and requested only a nail trimming. Initially, the grooming staff informed us that the full grooming service was ₹1050, but when we said we needed only nail cutting, he quoted ₹200. He also suggested trimming extra hair near the tail for an additional ₹100, which we agreed to. While cutting the nails, several of my dog’s toes started bleeding. This has never happened before during any nail trimming. Later I realized that the person handling my dog appeared to be a trainee or student. The tail trimming was also done unprofessionally, with excessive hair being removed. Afterwards, he insisted that we do a bath as well and verbally mentioned that the total would be around ₹700. However, after the bath, he silently telling bill with a completely different amount from what had been discussed. When we questioned why the charges were different and requested clear information before the service, he raised his voice, behaved aggressively, and used inappropriate language disrespectful manner He even made comments about dealing with us outside the hospital premises, which was extremely unprofessional and intimidating. I paid the amount through the scanner, and the payment was made to “Varun JR”. Unfortunately, I do not know the staff member’s full name, so I am unable to identify him further. I request the management of Hebbal Veterinary Hospital to look into this matter and take appropriate action. I would also strongly advise pet owners to be cautious about using the grooming services inside the hospital until proper supervision and transparent pricing are ensured. For clarity, I would like to mention that the doctors in the emergency ward were very kind and helpful. I have no complaints regarding the medical treatment provided by them.

I took my 4-month-old kitten to this government veterinary hospital after she fell from the third floor and suffered a spinal injury that left one of her hind leg paralyzed. I reached the hospital at 9:55 AM, but I received my token only at 11:00 AM. After waiting for another 30 minutes, the doctor examined my kitten and advised a scan. Once the scan was completed, the doctor prescribed medicines but did not explain the diagnosis or treatment properly. Whenever I asked questions, the doctor was rude. It was actually a junior staff member who explained the medicines to me. Because my kitten's hind leg was paralyzed, she could not clean herself after urinating and defecating. Although we cleaned her ourselves at home, she developed a severe skin infection around the affected area. We brought her back to the hospital on 27 June 2026. A nurse examined her after consulting the senior doctor, inserted an IV cannula, and administered three injections—one through the IV and two directly into her body. We were instructed to bring her back for the next two days. On 28 June 2026, another doctor attended my kitten. He inserted the IV cannula and told us he would return with the injections. I waited for nearly 20 minutes, but instead of completing my kitten's treatment, he left to treat another dog. The IV fluids were running, but no antibiotics or other prescribed injections were given. I requested another nurse to call him, but she responded rudely, saying that only the assigned doctor could treat the patient. Eventually, the doctor instructed the nurse to remove the cannula. She pulled it out roughly and simply told us to leave without administering the required injections. The worst experience happened on 29 June 2026. Due to heavy traffic caused by road construction, we reached the hospital at around 11:20 AM—only about 10 minutes later than our usual time. The OPD normally closes around 11:30 AM, and people were still standing inside. I politely explained that I had lost the prescription slip and only needed the doctor to rewrite the medicine so I could continue my kitten's treatment. Instead of helping, the person managing the counter behaved extremely rudely and refused to let us meet the doctor. We had travelled a long distance, but no one showed any empathy. The security guard also started shouting at us, blaming us for being late, even though my kitten was in severe pain. We had no choice but to take her to a private clinic, where she finally received the necessary injections. Later, we collected the medicine from the hospital pharmacy after they informed us it was finally available. I understand that this is a government hospital and that the doctors handle many patients every day. However, that does not justify rude, insensitive, or negligent behaviour. These are voiceless animals who completely depend on the people treating them. Some doctors were kind and professional, but unfortunately, several staff members behaved as if they were doing us a favour instead of fulfilling their responsibility. If you cannot treat patients and their owners with basic humanity and respect, then you should reconsider working in a profession that requires compassion. Whether you treat humans or animals, kindness and empathy are essential qualities of a doctor. No pet owner should have to watch their injured animal suffer because of carelessness, poor communication, or disrespectful behaviour. I sincerely hope the hospital administration takes this feedback seriously and improves both the quality of care and the attitude of its staff so that no other animal or pet owner has to go through such a heartbreaking experience.

I had a great experience at the Veterinary Hospital in Hebbal, Bangalore. Dr. Chethan (Gynecologist) was extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything in detail, including the condition, treatment options, and necessary procedures. My dog Shadow was suffering from heavy bleeding, and the team acted immediately by conducting blood tests and scanning. They diagnosed the issue as pyometra and clearly explained the urgency and the need for surgery. The way they guided us through the procedure and handled everything gave us a lot of confidence and peace of mind. The staff was professional, responsive, and caring. Overall, I’m very grateful for their timely action and expertise.
