This was an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience. Sharing before and after pictures. We have taken our Birman cat to Ziggly twice before and had good results, which is why we trusted them again. This time, however, they trimmed his coat so excessively that we can see his skin. This is not a “tidy trim” this is careless over-shaving of a long-haired breed that requires proper handling and basic breed awareness. Our cat is very gentle and cooperative. He has never hissed at us before. Since this grooming session, he has been visibly distressed and hissing clearly uncomfortable and stressed after whatever happened during the appointment. What is even more frustrating is the response from the store. Instead of taking responsibility, the managers brushed it off saying “the groomer did it, we didn’t know.” That is not acceptable. The groomer represents your store. Accountability does not stop at the grooming table. We trusted you with our pet. This level of negligence and the lack of ownership afterward is deeply disappointing. Pet parents deserve better.
